Who are you?
We're a group of scrapbooking women and men who share scrapbooking ideas, pages, and offer help to those that are new and just starting out.

What method of posting is acceptable?
Top posting is most commonly used in our newsgroup but ALL types are acceptable. We ask that no one makes the method of posting a topic of discussion on our newsgroup since we are accepting of top, bottom, and inline posting,.

Are attachments and graphics (binaries) allowed on this group?
No, We would love to have you share your pages, but do not post them to the group. Please set up an account webshots, picturetrail, etc. Then you may post your link to the newsgroup for all to view your pages. Attachments also include stationary.

What about posting advertisements?
Scrapbook related ads are tolerated in RCS provided that they are prefixed by AD and are posted no more than twice a month. Posting ad dates are the first and third Friday of each month.

Off Topic Posts
They are allowed in the group, but please put OT at the front of your post. Anything that is not scrapbook related is Off Topic.

What is a regular poster?
A person who posts on a regular basis for a consecutive three months is considered a regular member.

When can I participate in RCS activities?
We ask that you be a regular poster for 3 months before participating in swaps, Secret Bunny or Santa, Not-So-Secret-Scrapbooking-Friend (NSSSF), etc. It is recommended that you participate in a swap before hosting your own swap. As for having your BIO posted on the RCS website, you will need to be a regular poster for 6 months at which time you can email your info to the webmistress.
These are guidelines formed by regular RCS members and are to be used with discretion. The length of posting required to join a particular activity is determined by the host(ess) and can range from 1 to 6 months or more of regular posting. This allows for a more active and engaged membership.

Who can host a swap?
Before becoming a host of a swap, we ask that after a period of at least 3 months of being a regular poster that you participate in a swap. After you have completed your participation in a swap, then you are welcome to host a swap after being a regular poster for 6 months, if you feel comfortable. Hosting a swap is a big commitment and should not be taken lightly. Feel free to contact previous hosts concerning the duties required for a successful swap. Swaps must be scrapbook related.
